Day 1 Perth – Cervantes- Geraldton

Pick your vehicle up from the Thrifty location and you’re on your way! Prices for car hire start from a small compact car for an all inclusive rate of $64.50 per day.

Your day starts with a leisurely drive from Perth to Cervantes (approximately 231km). Visit the Nambung National Park ($10 entry fee per vehicle) to see the natural limestone formations, the Pinnacles.

Travel further North to the town of beautiful beaches and sunny weather, Geraldton (approximately 257km from Cervantes). Geraldton is renowned for its water based recreational activities such as yachting, diving and surfing. Check into your choice of accommodation or recommended accommodation of:

Day 2 Geraldton – Monkey Mia

Travel even further North up WA’s beautiful Coral Coast to Monkey Mia (home to the renowned Monkey Mia dolphins). This is approximately 430km.Check in at the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort.

 $205 per night staying in a Garden Villa or Beachside Dolphin Unit.

If you have time on your travels, before you get to Monkey Mia- detour off to Denham and visit the Shell Beach located on the Hamelin Road about 45km from Denham. You may also wish to visit the stromatolites at Hamlin Pool, which are the oldest living organisms on Earth.

Day 3 Monkey Mia

Make sure you get up early so you don’t miss out on the dolphin feedings. The dolphins swim up to shore to interact with humans and sometimes visit the shore up to three times a day. The pelicans can be very friendly too.

This is a day at your leisure. You can do many of the following activities, in Monkey Mia itself:

*Swim (if you’re lucky, the dolphins may swim close to you)

*Go on a catamaran ride and see the Dugongs, dolphins and sea snakes in their natural habitat. This is done through Monkey Mia Wildsights. They can also provide personalized nature based four wheel drive eco-adventure outback tours.

*Go on Camel Ride

*Do an Aboriginal Cultural Walk

Discover how the local Malgana people have survived in Gathaagudu for thousands of years and learn how they survived in the bush, living off bush tucker and bush medicine.

Day 4 Monkey Mia – Kalbarri

Depart Monkey Mia to travel to Kalbarri (approximately 380 km). A great place to visit is the Kalbarri National Park, home to the gorges. Take a photo snap through Nature’s Window and go for a walk with spectacular views. Check into your motel.

Kalbarri Palm Resort – Double/Twin $140 per night

Day 5 Kalbarri- Perth

The last stretch home back to Perth is approximately 590km. If you wake early, you may like to go see the Pelican’s being fed at the grassed area between the river mouth and visitor centre. Feedings at 0845.

Once arrived back to Perth, drop your vehicle off at the Thrifty location in Perth CBD.
